Letter to Silver RavenWolf

Hello Silver RavenWolf,

I am writing you this letter with the hopes of gaining a better understanding of what witches are and what witchcraft is. Furthermore I am also hoping to broaden my spiritual horizons and finally become in tune with nature as well as my fellow mankind.

First of all when I think of the word "witch," I have many Hollywood images to pull from, and yet in truth I know that these images are not truly what a witch is. We also have the biblical aspect as well as the mythological, but I truly believe that we over time have distorted and perverted a word that really should be associated with wisdom, understanding, and great responsibility, along with knowledge of nature and her forces.

So with all of the social distortion I cannot honestly give a true definition of the word "witch," but as for the word "witchcraft" I have somewhat a clearer path to walk along in terms of meaning. Witchcraft is not just about spells or bubling cauldrons of weird ingredients, it is about real rituals, rites of passage, love for nature and all of her wonders, mysticism, belief in what lies beyond our fragile bodies, connecting with all living things, whether we believe it or not all living creatures are connected.

So witchcraft is the art or instrument that the witches use for various reasons, hopefully unselfish reasons.

Now comes western civilization and its puritan or christian beliefs in which witchcraft is an abomination because it does not fall in line with any of the known scriptural passages that are so frequently over used to over burden on society with guilt for being free thinking individuals. Religion has monopolized people's fears of the unknown and warped society's impressions of the right and wrong. So people who believe outside the box are persecuted and ostracized for their beliefs. Now mind you when I say this it only goes to show that the main motivator of salvation by christian standards must have been a witch. I mean seriously think about it, the christian messiah performed many miracles and was killed for believing and proclaiming himself to be the son of God. Wow our society is really warped.

My goals are very clearly stated in these next few sentences. I am a successful attorney. I am a loving father. I am an excellent lover. I am an excellent husband. I am wealthy, healthy, and wise. I am rich monetarily and spiritually. I will spend the rest of my natural life with my soul mate Shauna Mae Larson. I will father two more children with Shauna, a girl named Ruby Soleil, and a boy yet to be named. These are my goals.
